Tatsumaki, a completely new design for a flogger that deserves its name ("Tatsumaki" means "Tornado" in Japanese).

The handle is made of real leather panels wrapped around two bamboo canes, assembled using just leather cord bindings. It's as beautiful inside as it is outside. See my updates for pictures of the handle construction. Tatsumaki feels great in your hand: it's strong but has a softness that that can only be achieved by using multiple layers of the best leather. The twin bamboo canes design creates an almost oval section that strongly enhances grip and handling. The flogger is perfectly balanced, with its barycenter 5cm (2in) from the top of the handle.

The 77 tails are made from natural leather 2mm (.079in) round cord, wrapped and fixed around the bamboo core using just a leather strip and leather cord.

The total length of the tails is approx 54m (177ft).

Tatsumaki is rigged 100% shibari style, without any glue, plastic, or metal.

I want my floggers to be completely natural so that they'll feel natural in your hand. Not a device, but an extension of your body.

The mid-air music of the 77 tails is absolutely electrifying. The sheer weight of the tails, along with the round section of every single tail, produces a blow that hits with a great mix of thud and sting.

Going back to the handle, the design is typical of my productions, with straight minimalistic lines and my signature red on black bindings.
