The Joōbachi (Bumblebee) is a Kyōshi (Teacher) class flogger.

The tails are the heaviest among all my floggers and made of skin safe natural leather in three different diameters. On the outside, 30 tails made out of 3mm (0.118) cord surround a second layer comprised of 16 tails made out of 4mm (0.157in.) cord, while a single 6mm (0.236in) leather rod lies in the center of the crown.

This construction greatly enhances the signature mix of sting and thud that is typical of all my floggers. The central super-thick rod and the thick 4mm crown increases the total weight of the tails, adding to the thud level, while the 3mm external crown adds to both sting and thud.

The handle is an evolution of the Katana class floggers, with a single bamboo core wrapped in real leather panels, but on the outside I've added more soft nappa under the bindings, to further improve both the grip and the appearance.

As always, the flogger is rigged 100% shibari style using just leather bindings, without any glue, plastic or metal.

The leather used in all of my floggers is of the finest quality, and for Joōbachi it ranges from the handle's inner panel made out of thick and voluptuous Italian cowhide leather, to the softest lambskin nappa used for the outside panel, to the gorgeous gold nappa used for the under-bindings. All of the bindings, both internal and external, are made using real cowhide leather in different specific types and thicknesses.

The tails are made out of vegetable tanned German cowhide natural leather and are Chromium VI free, allergenic dyes free and heavy metals free.
